I’d like to thank all of you who attended my EBSQ Live! Presentation last night. It was great to meet some new people, and overall a very fun experience. Here is the painting I used for the demonstration. It is my dog, in one of her favorite sunny spots in the house. If you missed the demo, you can see it on my web site here.

Hi Kari, I've been taking two weeks off from blogging, but I really look forward to seeing your presentation when it appears on the site (saw that it's listed but not there yet).
Another great painting! Love the light and the decision to make it a long narrow shape in order to zero in on your dog.
I have been so bad about participating in the EBSQ presentations. Hate to have missed this because it's a really wonderful painting! I'll be looking for the encore when you have it listed.
Thanks, Mona! I thought the shape worked out really well for this one. I used a 10x20 frame with spacers, and I'm really happy with the way it looks framed.
Thanks, Gwen! It's hard to make those presentations, isn't it? I always write them on my calendar, but I've only remembered twice. Good thing they archive them, or I'd have missed them all.
This is really stunning Kari, I will have to go to the archives to check out the video!
Thanks, Dana! It's not a video, though. More like a long WIP. :)
Your portrait it stunning, the fact that it is executed beautifully is a given, what I love here is that I can tell you KNOW this dog and because of that I feel like I know this dog... I hope that makes sense.
I stumbled on this portrait from another's blog, I've been here before, but I guess I forgot to add myself as a follower so I can see more of your beautiful work. Now off to add myself to your list. Very well done!
Thank you, Angela! That's very interesting. I've heard similar comments from a couple of other people. I'm not sure how that works, but I think it's great. Thanks! :)
Amazing, Kari! Sorry to have missed this. I'll check out and learn about EBSQ.
Thanks, Liz!
Gorgeous painting Kari. I love the way the light section frames your dog...very cool composition.
Thanks, Vern! She only gets a small patch of sunlight, and has to squeeze herself into it. ;)
Beautiful indeed! Super fab!
Outrageous and beautiful portrait! Wonderful!
Thanks Colette & Diana!
Amazing quality to your work, the lighting effect is outstanding|
